Its Easter Monday. There are verses of scripture that call me to remember what God has done. I also feel encouraged to remember what God continues to do.
Over the last year its become clear to me there are two characteristics of God I depend on. Steadfast love and faithfulness. Psalm 98: 3 speaks of what God has done and, I believe, is doing. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of God.
I declare today our God remembers his steadfast love and faithfulness for the world. He stands ready to bestow on and in anyone who claims that such love and faithfulness that forgives, heals, saves to the utter most really is in our reach. Actually, I do believe these manifestations of the very heart of God and his kingdom are at work and stirring the hearts and souls of broken and desperate people, right now.
Our hurting brothers and sisters need to have the company of those who are intimately familiar with God’s heart. Such love and faithfulness we remember today and celebrate today, again, will impact the environment where our hurting companions reside. They will be impacted, and this is a day they and we will remember.
Today, right now, I remember what our powerful, loving God has done. Yes, alleluia, our good, good Father remembers today, right now, his steadfast love and faithfulness to all of us. I am blessed. So are you.
Remember and rejoice!
